VR in Education
Our Founder, Ryan is an EdTech & Virtual Reality pioneer. Ryan has a BS in English/Psychology and an MBA in economics. Ryan has been teaching English and business abroad (including China, the Philippines, & Saudi Arabia) since 2007 with a recent focus on technology integration - using mobile phones, tablets, educational apps, and VR in classrooms. His mission statement is to build virtual platforms for immersive education in the hopes of bringing high quality, 21st century skills & learning to developing communities around the world.
In partnership with the University of Utah & the Natural History Museum of Utah, we are creating 360 content for EdTech implementation at remote Utah schools who have little opportunity to visit the museum. This venture is the flagship of our concept to build virtual platforms for immersive education in the hopes of bringing high quality, 21st century skills learning to developing communities around the world.
We are creating immersive educational content for presentation to classrooms using Virtual Reality headsets as the diving platform. Thought-provoking VR content will transform previously decontextualized subject matter into engaging virtual field trips. Learners will be virtually transported into anatomy, paleontology, and history (to name a few domains). Stickiness of learning and motivation to engage in otherwise dry topics will be enhanced by immersion into situated, context-rich simulated worlds. We believe we are surfing the nascent ripples of a wave in learning that will envelop the education landscape.
Though our VR enthusiasm appears to be a solution looking for a problem, we believe that Generation Z and beyond will find education and all information exchange far more efficient, effective, and appealing through virtual conduits. As learners, we are bombarded daily by newly rendered petabytes of information. We believe that by immersing in virtual platforms, learners will be better engaged and situated. We hope to help lead young Digital Citizens through the transition toward immersive learning methods and away from outdated, conventional education.
